It was definitely a rough 1st half for the Rams. We could have been up by 10 by halftime. But, considering the youth of our team, I think we did well on the big stage against NCAA’s most prestigious program. I think the team gelled at the end of the game – crucial 3s by Joey and Bradford – but at that point it was too late.

You can’t miss free throws and win basketball games. You can’t have a guard on the court that doesn’t put up points and turns the ball over. Joey Rodriguez did not show up for the tournament in Richmond or Philadelphia. B. Roz. should of played more. Larry Sanders can’t continue to try to tip the ball in 2 or 3 times in a row and miss. He has to learn to grab the ball and go up with it. He also can’t block himself of a dunk by the rim. That is the game winner.

You can throw every thing else out but the bottom line was Eric missed the front end of 2 one and ones and I believe Burgess missed the from end of a 1 & 1. Hit 2 of those and VCU wins.
I love those guys and they fought hard. Need to recruit another ‘great’ big guy cause when Sanders leaves the cupbord will be dry when it come to big guys. Lots of guards comming next year but we need another big guy.
Proud of you guys. Think big for next year!
