What the heck let’s see the pic.

I would assume he was in Orlando because it is a short drive to Melbounre, Florida. Ironically Florida Air Academy is in Melbourne and happens to have two great basketball players, Ben Eblen (VCU) and Jason West.

Hopefully he was getting West to sign with VCU so that he and Ben could be roommates next year.

It was a great day Ram Nation. Just got back from Daytona Beach on Sunday 19th. Ran into Coach Smart at the Orlanda Int. Airport on the evening flight back to Richmond….hopefully more Florida recruits in the mix….

I am starting to see why Coach Smart will be a good hire. He obviously followed VCU basketball and knew exactly what he wanted in a player and what VCU needed to help fill the big shoes of Eric.

Not to many coaches are able to get a quality player signed within the first few weeks of being hired.

When Joey opted to transfer I felt we might be a little thin at guard, but now I think Eblen and Theus will push the program even higher.

It also does my heart well knowing Darius could have opted for ODU, closer to home, but choose VCU instead.

Welcome Darius and I look forward to cheering for you over the next 4 years.
