VCU Targets Kentucky Decommit, GJ Vilarino

Submitted by on April 25, 2009 – 11:21 PMOne Comment

567912Texas guard GJ Vilarino signed with Kentucky in November but was granted a release after John Calipari took over head coaching duties for the Wildcats. The 5’11 PG out of McKinney High School has plenty of options and has reportedly received offers from the likes of Oregon, Rutgers, Gonzaga, Utah State, Cincinnati, Texas-Tech, SMU, and has been contacted by both Baylor and Indiana. Scout.com reports Baylor, Gonzaga, and VCU as the only schools of interest to GJ. Vilarino recently visited Gonzaga but has yet to make a decision.
