VCU starting Forward, Larry Sanders, will serve a one game suspension this Saturday against Delaware.

Sanders has been handed the suspension due to a flagrant act during Wednesday’s game against Drexel in Philly. The situation took place as the Rams headed back down to get on offense after a Dragons missed field goal attempt. Sanders made contact with Drexel’s Evan Neisler.

Larry Sanders is the Rams leading scorer and rebounder in his Junior year.

Update: you can now view the video of the flagrant contact below.

What a thug. At least it wasn’t as cheap as the shot he threw to UNCW’s Daniel Fountain 2 years ago that broke his nose. What a shame so much talent is bestowed upon such a thug!

I do not agree with the whole “thug” statement. people don’t understand how emotional these basketball players get in the heat of a game. no one really knows what lead to these circumstances and we probably never will, but one thing we do know is its his decision and his consequences he will have to deal with. so 4 all u haters fu@* off!

To “TED”…Would that be TED CONSTANT? As far as his consequences, he seems to be dealing just fine. That type of on-the-court emotion is what will carry us to another NCAA tourney. Have fun watching from Norfolk.
