Not even Coach Smart could have asked for a better way to start the new year. After losing to the William & Mary Tribe to start conference play back in December, the Rams picked up the pace and controlled every facet of Saturday’s contest against UNCW.

Every Ram saw action and every Ram scored. Jaime Skeen had 10 points and 9 rebounds along with 5 assists from both Joey Rodriguez and T.J. Gwynn. VCU led by as many as 46 points while keeping the Seahawks to shooting just 16% in the first half.
