Last time the Northeastern Huskies traveled to the Siegel Center, they walked out with a big win after a highly contested match up. This year would be no different.

The Huskies were able to dictate their style of play against a Rams team with a strong front court presence and win 62-57. The Rams leading scorers were team leaders, Joey Rodriguez and Larry Sanders with 12 points each. The Huskies limited the Rams, specifically, Jaime Skeen to 4 free throw attempts.

Defense and lack of defense of the is the story line of the game. The Huskies defense forced the Rams to take less than desirable shots also not allowing VCU to get back on their patented style of full court pressure.

VCU travels to Philadelphia on Wednesday to take on the Drexel Dragons.
