Liveblog: Senior Night, VCU v. JMU

Submitted by admin on February 24, 2010 – 1:31 pmNo Comment

SeniorNightThe last time these teams met the Rams surrendered an 8 point halftime lead, resulting in a major Valentine’s Eve heartbreak. VCU looks to avenge that loss on senior night, giving first year Head Coach Shaka Smart his first 20 win season and making TJ Gwynn VCU’s all-time winningest player in the process.

VCU has won it’s last two games by an average of 18 points, and has a 14-1 home record. The Dukes have found little road success this season, dropping 13 of 15 contests.

Many have speculated whether or not this will Larry Sander’s final Siegel Center game as well. Sanders is currently projected as the 16th overall pick in next year’s NBA draft according to NBADraft.net.

If you can’t make it to tonight’s game be sure to discuss it with fellow Ram fans here in our VCU live blog, 7:30PM.
