Freshman Reddic cracks ESPN top 10

33504_1539462816665_1537745780_1308105_1959706_nFreshman center Juvonte Reddic may still be unpacking his bags in Richmond, but it hasn’t take long for Winston-Salem native to get his first taste of the national spotlight.  ESPN named Reddic one of it’s “10 freshmen we can’t wait to see” in it’s latest Summer Shootaround: non-BCS edition, praising the new Ram’s size,  length, defense, and ability to run the floor “like a deer”.

Juvonte Reddic, C, VCU: In Reddic, coach Shaka Smart landed arguably the best available true center during the late signing period. He has great size and length and runs the floor like a deer. He rebounds at rim level and blocks shots on and away from the ball. Plenty of ACC and Big 12 schools made a run at Reddic.

Reddic was the only freshmen representative from the CAA.

ESPN and VCU fans alike may get plenty of opportunities to see Reddic after losing returning center, Larry Sanders, to the 1st round of the NBA Draft.
