It doesn't matter to me, but the VCU history 101 forum was created for stuff like this to be able to archive this stuff all in one place and make it easily accessible.

Let's preserve this video, and others like it, on the VCU History 101 Forum. Then all the young students and young alumni can enjoy moments of greatness from the past and all of old folks can reminisce about the "good old days" that are being replaced by the Shaka Smart days.

I watched the video. Kendrick was awesome. I also liked the commercials with John McEnroe.

I miss cheerleaders and dance teams with "big hair."

Yeah-those were great times. Big hair, big-hair rock and roll, and VCU basketball- Kendrick Warren style! The guy was awesome. How cool was it to roll down to the R-C while jamming some Def Lep, or some bad-A$$ Dokken with George Lynch on the geet-tar? And then proceed to watch Sir Kendrick throw down 10 or 12 dunks!! Good times, Brothers.

For the record, I LOVE it when the RAMS wear the gold unis. But those unis in the video were terrible! They had no color to them. I'm sure the washed out picture from all these years, did not help Still- fun to watch that!

Also- I had forgotten just how good Rod Ladd was- and how awesome that 93' team would have been- if he had stayed. I believe Terence Gibson came in, as a JUCO, and replaced him at the 2G spot. With Kenny Harris back there directing the show, the (already fantastic) 93' team, would have been flat-out AWESOME if Ladd had stayed. While I like Gibson a lot, he was really the weak link on the 93' squad. Funny to say that the 2G was our "weak link," since we are Guard-U!!

This game was a few years before my time. What's really cool to me; In the mid to late 90's, I was with Sonny at a function outside of basketball and he's telling a funny story about Ladd and Warren "going off" and the going's on in the locker room. This may have been the game he was talking about. I so wish I could remember (and/or paid better attention to Sonny) what the story was about. Sonny looks so young, I guess coaching puts on the age quickly.

Sonny worked hard. But he was the wrong coach for the Rams.
