Correct me if I'm wrong the "Seahawk in the Casket" was homecoming the previous year when the game was on ESPN 2. Crazy to think that the only way to fill both student sections was to promote ESPN everywhere.
The 'Seahawk in the Casket' game was Feb 07, 2004- A VCU win by the score of 49-41, reminiscent of the kind of ugly games on ESPN that the CAA was famous for during that era. It was a really close game until Nick George had a miraculous tip-in to put us in control for good. We also had an ill advised court-storm at the end of the game, too. I will say, however, that the 2004 UNCW squad was one of the best .500 in-conference squads of all time. They were extremely physical.
