    A few have, some of the more casual fans have probably forgotten about him though and don't even realize that is he still working. He would be an excellent choice though, so I am sure they will go with someone else.

    I think Capel would be an excellent choice. He's young, knows the region, has experience running a big time program, can recruit, and has to have learned something under K. He had a couple talented recruits who were bad guys who doomed him at Oklahoma. I would bet he learned his lesson and wouldn't have to resort to signing those types coaching in his part of the country.

    I'm sticking with Gregg Marshall but Capel is my #2 option.

    Probably just being polite and not wanting to burn any bridges. Doesn't hurt to talk. Who knows how many conversations have taken place? I sure as heck wouldn't go to work for an AD that gives you your pink slip by way of press conference notification after 9 years on the job. Poor form IMO.

    well, create a general "Virginia sports" forum to discuss non-CAA teams. This forum says VCU Mens Basketball. I still fail to understand why this thread is located here and remains here. Tech BB has nothing to do with us, unless we're playing them.

    and since the Metro Conference days, how often do we really play them?

    A Weaver/Smart conversation would have to be OK'd by our black and gold Gopher....which would proably be newsworthy in the RVa area....No smoke, no fire.
