Such a shame that VCU and GMU have only played 3 times in the regular season in the last 3 years. The CAA has been denied one of only a few marquee matchups the league has to offer at this point in time.

CAA schedule is yet to be released

I see that you included the start of practice. I've been told there WILL be RamMadness this year (the reins have been passed from SGA back to the AD), though I haven't heard a date. It's safe to assume it would be somewhere within a week or two after that 15th.

I wholeheartedly agree dan. The year before last they had a black v. gold scrimmage that was open to the public, but I haven't heard any word about having it this season.

I think they had a closed black v gold scrimmage last season. That would be a cool thing to do though, or even a 3 point shooting and dunk contest.

well, it doesn't have to be at midnight...it is richmond, but lets just see some action. Maybe no dunk contest cause you could get hurt (I guess...) but at least 3 point contest or a light scrimmage. We want to get excited and pumped up for vcu basketball, and having the team come out, wave, and throw micro basketball at the students doesn't exactly get me hype.

That's what makes it cool. The student's won't have any thing better to do in October and I am sure there are plenty of alums that won't mind missing out on a few hours of sleep once a year to come out and support the team. Hopefully it will happen.
