Granted, it's the NBA playoffs against the LA Lakers, but I always thought of Eric as someone who didn't back down or scare easily. Just haven't seen any confidence from him in the playoffs. Only 2 shots made on 8 attempts over the first three games (and no attempts with 8:04 to play in the 3rd of game 4)...just tough to see Eric play like that. Wanna see that floater at least once before this series is over...

He is a closer.

I get what you are saying though, but it has been a long season. It pretty much started last year for Eric when workouts began, followed by summer league, then training camp, then the 6 month long season. That has got to take some getting used to. I think we will see him impose his will more and more next season. That doesn't mean he is done this season, just seems that he has lost a little bit of his consistency down the stretch. Maybe he will hit the dagger that knocks the Lakers out of the playoffs and that will give him enough stroke with the front office to get them to draft Larry.

Eric definitely stepped it up tonight...definitely looked more like the Eric we saw at VCU. Hopefully it's the game that shook off the playoff nerves because OKC is gonna need their bench to play like it did tonight if they are gonna upset the Lakers for the series win. Loved to see him attack the basket.

Missed the game tonight but checked the box score to see what Eric did, nice work. This series reminds me a lot of the Celtics series of recent years (vs. Hawks, vs. Bulls), here's hoping Durant and Co. can finish the job.

Eric had a good final line - - I believe he had 10 points. But with OKC up 19 or 20 in the 4th he had only logged 3 minutes with 0 points and 0 assists. So Brooks didn't put him in until the Lakers had basically mailed it in. Brooks is definitely avoiding taking Westbrook out when it counts. Hopefully Eric will get more consequential minutes in LA. With Kobe banged up the Thunder have an opportunity to steal this series.

13 points, 1 assist, 3 rebounds. Not bad.

To be fair the Lakers pretty much mailed it in pretty much the whole game. Westbrook has played a hell of a series so far so I can understand him getting so much burn. E just has to be ready to capitalize on any opportunity no matter when it comes.

That was a fun game to watch...announcers kept comparing it to a college game...white out for OK really made it seem like it.

E did have a very nice old fashioned three driving/floating through the lane and he hit a nice 3 with someone in his face.

From what I have seen, I believe Eric is doing what he is told to do when he goes in during this Lakers series and that is to bring the ball down the court and distribute it early before he has a chance to get in trouble. Not sure if there is a matchup problem with Fish or what but he is definitely not being aggressive in this series. Against Memphis in the season finale he appeared to have a green light to do his thing and he looked very good. If they are going to beat LA, everyone must buy into the team concept and play their role. I think that is exactly what E is doing.

his stats, though limited, against the Lakers are nowhere close to his season's stats...

Seems to me that Eric is playing, not to mess up, rather than being aggressive. I'm sure he knows that its the playoffs, one mess up and he could sit right back down.

"Thunder" is trending on Twitter for the DC area (unsure if that includes Richmond). And most of the tweets are supportive of the Thunder. If nothing else, they have a lot of people wanting them to take the series from the Lakers!
Any team that plays in the Siegel center will be Thunderstruck!

ODU fan quote: "Like the Hokie Pokie is to Tech, Ice Cream and Cake is to Old Dominion. "
I agree, what else but such a lame song could be associated with ODU.
