1st game: 4/15 fg, 7 rebs, 1 ast, 1 st, 3 blocks, 6 to, 9pts
2nd game: 9/14 fg, 2/3 3pt, 9 rebs, 2ast, 1 st, 2 block, 3 to, 22pts

Great improvement, definitely looked a lot smoother out there, better shot selection, great defensive. Sad that they lost again though, though not for the lack of effort.

Thanks for the stats, good job of data compilation.

You can really see from the stats that Larry felt a lot more at ease with his game tonight.

And I was one of the few on these boards advocating the three when he was a Ram. OH well, the Bucks will win the EC next year. :D

Ahhhhhhh, my damn DVR cut off with around 15 seconds left on the game clock so I missed the last trey by LS8. At least I could read about it here. The one right before looked good though. Great game, and the big man scored the Bucks last 6 points.

His eyes lit up when I asked him about his outside shooting.
"It's just something I been working on," Sanders said with a smile. "When someone says I can't do something, I like to go and work on it. I haven't really played much five-on-five or organized ball since my last college game. I've just been working on my game."

The bucks drafted him for his defensive presence, those 13 boards and 3 blocks, *coupled* with those 4 steals (which is crazy) are awesome stats. I saw from the boxscore that he also had 7 fouls though, hopefully they were fair calls, though I haven't seen the game to really say (I was workin so I'll be watchin the entire game replay tonight when I get back home).

Not bad stats at all for Larry for his first three summer games as he is averaging a double, double in points and boards.

13 Points Per Game/39 Total Points
10 Boards Per Game (Rounded Up)/29 Total Boards

Supporting cast definitely not helping Larry out. Who thought he'd see double teams in game 3 of NBA Summer League???

Definitely think he's had a nice showing so far. HOWEVA', I wouldn't mind seeing more free throw attempts...(he's got something like 4 in 3 games), which basically tells me he isn't taking the ball strong to the hoop, just relying on jump shots, etc. We saw these phases last year, hopefully he can use that length and just try and flush the ball every time. Then he'll see his %s go up...that or he gets sent to the line.

It's because the guard play is soooo bad. They're not giving the ball to Larry in the paint as much and he's being forced to create his on shot from 15-18 feet out.

There's also been numerous times where Larry would run up the court on fast breaks beating everyone waiting for the alley oop or long pass that never came. His SL guards are awful...all they do is turn the ball over or pass to their bigs in bad positions.

I also wouldn't be too worried about the fouls, a few of them have been on clean blocks which the refs called fouls..similiar to his block on Thabeet last game which the refs called a block. They're just not used to seeing Thabeet get blocked face up

All in all...im happy with Sanders play thus far. I remember Eric's play last year was less than stellar but look how he turned out ;)

I agree with this comment 100%. Larry has been running the court hard on fast break opportunities and has not been getting rewarded at all. The guards have been more intersted in trying to make shots I guess trying to show the coaching staff that they can score in order to get an invite to training camp.

I can't wait until the season starts and Larry gets to play with Brandon Jennings and Michael Redd. I feel that these guards will hit Larry for sure if he is open on the break.

Bucks vs Heat:
1st Qtr: Larry at 8pts 3rebs 1blk

Great first qtr, running the floor like a deer, commentators really impressed as is everyone watchin. Knockin down those jump shots like crazy, at 100% FG

Final tally 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks. However the Bucks lost another meaningless game. The press and the fans can't say enough good things about him.

Sanders will be a tremendous boost for the Bucks who really lack athleticsm at any position. No one in last season's playoffs could change the game for them simply based on length and athleticism.

Sanders can not only finish at the rim, but his length defensively reminds me of Marcus Camby (also 6'11" 230 lbs.)

Here are some great articles on Sanders pre - draft and summer league.

Wow. The first time that I have seen him play. That guy is going to make a lot of money and have a successful career in the NBA. If he could have only played consistently with us, we would have been in the sweet sixteen......
