We put together a flashback collection of images from VCU’s win over Kansas to advance to the Final Four. Relive the memories!
Former VCU sharpshooter and Richmond native, Brandon Rozzell, is one step closer to making it in THE “league”, having found himself the 4th-round selection of NBA Development League’s L.A. D-Fenders. Rozzell becomes the third most recent Ram to join the NBA subsidiary, following 2007 grad Mike Anderson who shined for the Dakota Wizards this past season, and NBA 1st-round draftee Larry Sanders, who dropped down a few games to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants before rejoining his Milwaukee Bucks squad [...]
You might want to go purchase a pink party dress, because the Rams are celebrating a Sweet 16. In what continues to be one of the most improbable runs in NCAA tournament history, the VCU Rams, a controversial selection into this year’s NCAA tournament, have dominated yet another opponent, this time in a 94-76 offensive clinic taught to 3rd seed Purdue. After watching this VCU team light up a Georgetown Hoya squad from 3-point range in their previous game, Purdue [...]
VCU had its share of doubters heading into this year’s NCAA tournament. They had a few less after Wednesday’s defensive dominance of USC. Tonight? I’m not sure there are any left. VCU took it’s first round momentum and turned it into a 74-56 domination of 6th-seeded Georgetown. The Rams came out hot offensively, continued their impressive defense from round one, and put together perhaps their best all around performance of the year. The teams traded baskets early, and Georgetown’s Jason [...]
VCU picked up their 11th victory of the season tonight in the always difficult Trask Arena against UNCW. We couldn’t be there to enjoy the W but that doesn’t mean we weren’t working! The following plays are what we consider OUR top 10 plays we’ve been lucky enough to capture through our lens at the Siegel Center so far this season. While we miss the thousands of Larry Sanders dunks we normally have to sort through for these videos, this [...]
They wreaked havoc at times, and just plain wreaked in other moments, but in the end the Rams pulled out another close home win dropping former Metro conference rival Tulane (6-3) 70-67 on a cold Saturday afternoon at the Siegel Center. Once again the Rams were lead by Wake Forest transfer Jamie Skeen, who posted a team high 15 points and 6 boards. VCU guards struggled at times, but big shots in the lane by Joey Rodriguez and Brandon Rozzell, [...]
