Rams defeat Hofstra, Sanders makes up for lost time

The Rams traveled to Hempstead, New York to take on the Pride of Hofstra Tuesday evening, marking the return of forward Larry Sanders after serving a one game suspension.

Sanders dropped a career high, 31 points, while grabbing 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Guard, Joey Rodriguez, chipped in 21 points, 6 assists and 2 steals. The Rams forced 17 turnovers by the Pride.

VCU did have trouble containing Pre Season All CAA pick, Charles Jenkins, as he was able to post 23 points on the night.

VCU moves to 3-3 in conference play (11-4 on the season) heading into Saturday’s matchup at Georgia State, Saturday.
