Rams Get Revenge, Dominate Tribe

NIxonRevengeThe last time VCU played William & Mary they watched a 13 point halftime lead evaporate behind 48 second half points. Tonight, in front of a sold out Verizon Wireless Arena, the Rams were determined to finish.

Joey Rodriguez and Larry Sanders lead the Rams with an equal 18 points. The two had an unmatched chemistry on the court as Rodriguez repeatedly found Sanders by the rim, most of the time above it, helping Joey to 10 assists on the night.

Brandon Rozzell added 15 points for the Rams, 9 of which came from long range.

The balanced VCU attack held the Tribe to 33 second half points, as William and Mary watched a 5 point first half deficit turn into a 22 point loss behind.

The Rams shot just under 53% from the field in the second half, 41% from long range.

VCU has won 4 straight going into this Saturday’s rematch at Northeastern.

Check back tomorrow morning for video highlights of tonight’s game featuring a VERY special guest.
