They wreaked havoc at times, and just plain wreaked in other moments, but in the end the Rams pulled out another close home win dropping former Metro conference rival Tulane (6-3) 70-67 on a cold Saturday afternoon at the Siegel Center.
Once again the Rams were lead by Wake Forest transfer Jamie Skeen, who posted a team high 15 points and 6 boards.
VCU guards struggled at times, but big shots in the lane by Joey Rodriguez and Brandon Rozzell, and three huge free throws were enough to keep the Green Wave from pulling off the double digit comeback as VCU once again struggled to put two complete halves together.
