Today VCU saw the last regular season game of four student athletes whose combined career point totals comes in at just under 4,000.

Three of the four, Joey Rodriguez, Ed Nixon, and Brandon Rozzell, are among the most winningest Rams in the history of the school, combining for 96 wins in their four years, as well as three postseason appearances including a trip to the NIT, a CBI Championship, and a CAA title in 2009 that punched the group a ticket to the NCAA tournament where they came just a point shy of knocking off a storied UCLA program.

That trio was joined by Jamie Skeen this past season after transferring from ACC power Wake Forest.

Since then, all Skeen has done is lead this year’s team in scouring and rebounds while demonstrating a post game unrivaled by any recent big man to dawn the black-and-gold.

Ram fans packed the Siegel Center in sold out fashion the past three games, and before today’s tip, showed their appreciation for a group of the most successful Rams in the history of the program.
