Rams jump from third to first in CAA Bloggers Poll

VCU jumped from third to first in the latest CAA Bloggers Poll after two dominating performances over South Florida and George Washington this past week.

The Rams picked up three first-place votes, second to only George Mason’s four, but still found themselves a fraction ahead of the Patriots in this week’s rankings.

Northeastern saw the week’s biggest decline, falling from first to sixth after two straight losses, one being a home L to the Monarchs of Old Dominion who jumped a spot to third while picking up one first-place vote in this week’s rankings.

Drexel, the CAA’s official preseason No.1 selection, dropped two spots from last week’s poll, checking in at eighth place after falling to 2-4on the season.

Georgia State was the week’s biggest riser after reeling off six straight wins, jumping from ninth to fifth in this week’s poll.

Lot's of movement early in the season. Looking forward to seeing how it shakes out after everyone has a few conference games under their belts.

Also, glad to see GSU up to number 5, even it if is early.  I do not think anyone saw that coming.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all VCU, all day...errrryday, but definitely rooting for Georgia State to hopefully turn things around this year and get some more butts in those seats. They have been on a tear lately, and hopefully their fans reward them (you gotta get them to the games Ben!)
