Video – VCU defeats Towson

VCU (21-5, 12-2) stretched their win streak to 10 tonight as the Rams blasted Towson (1-25, 1-13) 66-43 in front of yet another sold out Siegel Center crowd.

Bradford Burgess lead the Rams with 22 points, his first double-digit scoring performance in his last five games. The senior swingman was a red-hot 6-of-11 from long range and added three assists, two steals and a rebound in the win.

The black-and-gold also got a breakout performance from 7′ center DJ Haley. Haley notched his first career double-double, scoring 10 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Haley added two blocks and three steals in just 25 minutes of play.

The Rams take their share of first-place to Norfolk this Saturday against the fourth-placed Old Dominion Monarchs (16-10, 11-3).
