Video – Rams win CAA Championship

Darius Theus was tournament MVP as VCU survived a furious Drexel rally to win this year’s CAA Championship, 59-56.

The Rams once again jumped out to a commanding first half lead, taking a 16-point advantage into the lockers at the half. Like Mason before them however, Drexel fought back, but in the end four clutch free throws from junior Troy Daniels were enough to punch the Rams second-straight NCAA tournament ticket.

Joining Theus on the stage to collect some post-tournament hardware were senior Bradford Burgess and sophomore Rob Brandenberg, VCU’s two other selections on the CAA’s All-Tournament Team.
