According to Brian Mull of the Wilmington Star, the CAA has postponed today’s schedule vote on whether or not to raise the conference exit fee from $250,000 to upwards of $1 million.
Mull cited a lack of of presidents quorum, and later tweeted that “the call of the Council of Presidents will be rescheduled at a later date”.
There has been much speculation about the future of the conference after rumors surfaced of a possible departure of league powers VCU and George Mason to the Atlantic 10. CAA commissioner Tom Yeager addressed the speculation on a media conference call, saying he felt confident that all 12 league members would be returning to the CAA, only to see Georgia State officially leave for Sunbelt yesterday.
