The search for an assistant to replace Jamion Christian (who left VCU to take a head coaching position at Mount St. Mary’s) has come to an end. Coach Smart will add Jeremy Ballard to his staff. Jeremy spent 5 years as an assistant at University of Tulsa, during which he led the team to 109 total victories, including three seasons with 20 or more wins.
Jeremy Ballard has this to say about joining the VCU staff:
“I am thrilled to be joining Coach Smart and his staff at VCU. What they have accomplished over the last three years is nothing short of remarkable and I look forward to the opportunity help sustain and hopefully surpass the standard of success that has been set here.”
