Former VCU center Larry Sanders has been making headlines recently, but maybe not the kind of headlines you want as a 2nd year player looking to make your mark in the NBA.
He may be trying to fire up the Bucks. Last night, during a heated matchup between the Bucks and the Pacers, Larry was called for two technical fouls after he ran over Danny Granger while playing defense in the paint. He then exchanged words with a few others, including David West, who he ran around the court to confront. Watch the video below.
Larry may face disciplinary action from the NBA for this event.
Less than two weeks prior, Larry got his first game ejection after a series of events that involved being facepalmed by Thabo Sefolosha, arguing with officials, and finally throwing an elbow at Nick Collison. Video below:
Larry later posted this photo on his Twitter account of the Sefolosha facepalm:
Clearly a mis-call.
Even with VCU, Larry had a reputation for getting into trouble from time to time on the court. In January of 2010 he was suspended 1 game for throwing an elbow at Drexel’s Evan Neisler (see video and story here).
In his last 10 games, Larry has seen significant playing time, and is averaging 5.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. Are these antics enough to get the Bucks in line to win their last 4?
