Wonders of technology isn’t just the easy science class everyone takes at VCU their freshman year, it’s also a term that best describes our ability to do a video interview with Jamie Skeen this afternoon, all the way from his new home in southern Israel.
Skeen was a major part of the Ram’s magical run to the Final 4 two seasons ago, leading VCU in scoring that season and eventually becoming the first-ever Ram to be named to an All-NCAA Tournament Team.
Following his success in Richmond, many fans expected to hear the graduating senior’s name called in the 2011 NBA Draft. Unfortunately that wasn’t to be the start to Jamie’s professional career, but may very well be his end point after he battles his way through the professional leagues, starting off with a brief stint on Tony Parker’s French ASVEL team before his current pro assignment for Ashkelon in Israel’s premier hoops league.
Check out our interview with Skeen as he talks about everything from Shaka Smart to having bombs fly over his car in his new town of Ashkelon.
