VCU legend Jamie Skeen will get another chance at impressing NBA GMs since working out in last season’s NBA combine. This time, Skeen will join the Chicago Bulls during a NBA Summer League that will see a record 24 teams compete.
Following VCU’s magical 2011 run to the Final 4 where the Charlotte, NC native wracked up NCAA All-Tournament team honors, Skeen was invited to last year’s Draft combine but was unable to land a spot on an NBA roster in the pre-lockout draft.
Skeen comes to Summer League after spending the past season in Europe, first alongside NBA talents Tony Parker (Spurs), Ronny Turiaf (Heat), and four-year NBA vet Hilton Armstrong, for the French League ASVEL squad, then with Ironi Ashkelon in Israel’s top league where he averaged 9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 28 minutes per contest.
