Skype Session: Nick George

Raise your hand if you miss Nick George as much as we do.

At 6’6 205, the Manchester, England native ranks 10th in scoring, 9th in rebounds and 4th in 3-point field goal percentage at VCU, were he brought an energy level we hadn’t seen since a guy named Briante Weber came to campus.

King George could do it all. He was a part of the VCU resurgence that put the black and gold back on the map and a big-time scorer under former coach Jeff Capel.

After four strong years with the Rams, including rocketing out of the gate to earn a CAA Rookie of the Year award, Nick moved back across the pond where he’s carved out a very successful pro career, playing stints in Italy, France, Spain and now Switzerland where he returns to Switzerland LNA’s Champion Lugano Tigers, and has hopes of returning to Great Britain’s national squad after just missing a shot at Olympic glory after suffering a thigh injury this past June.

Nick was kind enough to sit down with us again, this time for our a long-distance Skype session video interview.
