Rams on outside looking in in first coaches poll

The first coaches poll of the preseason was released today and after much off season hype, the Rams find themselves just outside of this year’s rankings.

VCU’s 2011 season ended in heartbreak as a three-point lead vanished in the final 46 seconds of last season’s round of 32 against this year’s top team, the Indiana Hoosiers. But even with a returning team that includes all but one player from last season’s 9th-youngest team in the country that took this year’s No.1 to the brink, VCU will have to earn their way into this year’s top-25 coaches poll rankings.

Below is the recently released first coaches poll with last season’s record and final game result.
