Richmond dropped Randolph Macon 76-65. Chris Mooney played four freshman for extended minutes, and Derrick Williams had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Williams is a handful–6-6 and 270 pounds with great feet and a soft touch.
St. Louis beat Rockhurst 79-47 in its exhibiton. Mike McCall had 14 points, and Cody Ellis and Dwayne Evans had 12 apiece.
Xavier won 74-53 over Kentucky State, a game that saw old foe Isaiah Philmore play three positons.
Rhode Island plunked Coast Guard Academy 83-31. Another familiar name, Alwayne Bigby, had eight points and 11 rebounds.

La Salle survived a scare on Friday evening from Carleton but
hung on to win 61-58 in an exhibition. Ramon Galloway poured in 28
points, 5 rebounds, and 3
assists on the night. GW
beat Catholic behind 16 rebounds from Isaiah Armwood. Freshman Joe
McDonald looks to be their starting point guard. Also, Fordham took down
Marist.
Sean Johnson scored 16 points as Duquesne made 15 three-pointers (by seven players) in burying Hawaii Hilo 92-46 Sunday night. Johnson hit four threes in 21 minutes. Jeremiah Jones and Marvin Binney, who went 3-of-3 from the arc, had 13 points each off the bench for Duquesne. (Thx Dave.)
UMass slipped by American International 87-82. Chaz Williams had 24 points and 11 assists while Freddie Riley added six 3-point field goals. Terrell Vinson had 11 points and
seven boards.
