Johnson selected 13th in MLS Draft

JJVCU’s own Jason Johnson was selected by the Houston Dynamo with the 13th pick in this year’s MLS SuperDraft.

A Generation Adidas player, the Dynamo get the most talented player left on the board without having to pick up Johnson’s salary while he continues to develop.

Johnson scored 13 goals and added six assists for a Rams team that made it all the way to this year’s Atlantic 10 Final. Johnson’s impressive season landed him an A-10 Offensive Player of the Year Award as well as NSCAA All-Region honors for the second straight season.

The junior forward hails from Happy News, Jamaica where he is a member of the Men’s Senior National Team.
