Daniels hit a VCU record 124 3-pointers this season, then followed that effort with a primetime College Slam 3-Point Championship title on ESPN. The Roanoke native’s 3-point prowess punched his ticket to the event alongside 40-plus other college players.

“It’s really humbling for me to get such a tremendous opportunity,” Daniels said in a VCU press release. “I want to go up there and do whatever I can to show my abilities. This is a credit to all my teammates and coaches for putting in the work right alongside me.”

Daniels hopes to join VCU legends Larry Sanders and Eric Maynor as a third VCU player to represent the Rams currently in the NBA.

This is fourth time in the past five seasons that at least one VCU player has earned a workout with an NBA team.

VCU big man Juvonte Reddic is currently projected as a second round pick for the 2014 NBA Draft, so expect that streak to grow.
