Larry Sanders to get Team USA tryout

Former VCU big man, Larry Sanders, tweeted that he’ll get a shot to workout/tryout with team USA this summer.

The Milwaukee Bucks center’s 2.83 blocks per game were good enough for second best in the NBA this season. Sanders’ breakout performance earned him the third most votes for Most Improved Player. He finished seventh in Defensive Player of the Year voting as well, receiving four first-place votes in the process.

Team USA’s stable of bigs recently featured the likes of Tyson Chandler, Anthony Davis and Kevin Love.
