VCU’s Peppas pep band will highlight this year’s local music lineup at the Triple Crown Amphitheater during the State Fair of Virginia.
They will be joined by more than 60 other local and regional performers during the 10-day event, which will open Sept. 27 at The Meadow Event Park. That’s in addition to a full slate of national acts on the fair’s Festival Stage.
“Virtually every musical genre for every age and background—from folk to country to rock, bluegrass and gospel—will be on stage at some point during the fair,” said Greg Hicks, the event’s vice president of communications. “We have some incredibly talented veteran performers, as well as up-and-coming artists—many that you will hear more about in the very near future.”
The newly created Triple Crown Amphitheater will offer music and other entertainment from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
“The State Fair has always showcased the best of many different disciplines, like livestock, food and arts & craft competitions. We want to showcase the best Virginia entertainers as well,” Hicks said.
The award-winning Peppas will perform at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30.
