Troy Daniels1) Daniels gets Charlotte Bobcats training camp invite – Troy Daniels continues to chase his dream of becoming an NBA player, as the 3-point sharpshooter accepted a training camp invite this past week. Daniels received a free agent contract this summer to compete for the Bobcats in Summer League play where he averaged 6.7 points in just over 17 minutes per contest. Daniels become VCU’s most prolific 3-point shooter this past season then capped his college career off by winning the State Farm 3-Point Championship.

2) Brooks undergoes surgery – Freshman, Douglas “Bookie” Brooks, underwent a minor knee surgery this past Wednesday. The freshman is expected to miss four weeks.

3) VCU to play Black & Gold (FREE) open scrimmage – The Rams will play an open scrimmage at the Siegel Center on Sunday, October 13th. Doors open at 5PM and will be free to the public, general admission seating.

4) VCU Black & Gold Ball – VCU will host their fourth annual Black & Gold Ball on Friday, October 11th at the Siegel Center. The ticket deadline to preregister for the event is Monday, October 7th and range from $40 for young alumni (graduates of VCU within the last 5 years) to $500 per couple for VIP packages.
