VCU’s Juvonte Reddic will continue his hoops career overseas after signing his first professional contract with Italy’s Serie A, Victoria Libertas.
The Pesaro Italy-based Vuelle competes in the top level Italian league in a 10,323-seat arena and will feature three other D1 American athletes on next year’s roster alongside Reddic.
Reddic was projected as a late second round NBA Draft pick but will begin his pro career in Europe after a prolific four years at VCU, become one of the first players in the history of the school to play in four consecutive NCAA tournaments, including the 2011 Final 4.
He finished his career at VCU ranking in the top ten in rebounds, steals and blocked shots and finished with 1,438 career points on Broad St.
Reddic posted 11 double-doubles this season including a season-best 27-point, 15-rebound performance in a tough overtime road win at La Salle.
The Winston-Salem, NC native posted a career-high 28-point performance against William & Mary as a sophomore and scored 12 points in just 10 minutes of play as a freshmen as VCU blasted Purdue, 94-76, to reach the schools first-ever Sweet 16.
