VCU completed the season sweep of SLU tonight, downing the Billikens 74-54 in front of a sold out Siegel Center audience that braved the snowy conditions to cheer on the black and gold in the win.

The Rams used a lockdown halfcourt defense to shut down the Billiken offense and got a team-high 16 points from a rejuvenated Treveon Graham. Graham was 4-6 from the field and hit eight of his 12 free throws. The senior was one of three Rams to lead the team with six rebounds, joining Mo Alie-Cox and Jordan Burgess.
The Rams held SLU to 37.8% shooting and forced 14 Billiken turnovers.
VCU got a spark off the bench from freshman Michael Gilmore. Gilmore came in to hit two of his three three-point attempts to finish with 10 points on the night. He added four rebounds and a steal for VCU.
The Rams bench totaled 36 points on the evening including nine from freshman Terry Larrier. VCU also got a game-high six assists off their bench from reserve point guard, Jonathan Williams.
The win locks up yet another 20-win season for Shaka Smart and the Rams (20-6). VCU temporarily sits atop the A-10 standings at 10-3 and will look to remain in that position when they take on UMass (16-9, 9-3) Saturday at noon.
