It took senior Melvin Johnson almost a full 60 minutes before he were to get his first bucket at home in December but once they started dropping they wouldn’t stop as the Rams would defeat Buffalo, 90-69.

Johnson would lead all VCU players in scoring Tuesday night as VCU hosted the Buffalo Bulls out of the Mid-American Conference.

The win snapped a 3 game losing streak for the Rams. The last time VCU snapped a 3 game losing streak was last year before they went on a 5 game streak in the other direction. Senior Korey Billbury would chip in 15 points and Ahmed Hamdy Mohamed would contribute 11 points on the evening.

48 of VCU’s 90 points came from within the paint and the Rams would shoot just 9-26 from behind the arch.

VCU moves onto 6-5 on the season and will host Liberty University on Sunday, December 27th at 5pm.
