Podcast: ‘The Streak’ & Interviews with Korey Billbury and Jamie Skeen

Feature-Image-160127-Podcast

We discuss VCU’s current 10 game winning streak and their 7-0 run to start conference play. We throw in our two cents for the A10 Player of the month discussion and look back and debate where in rivalry history does the most recent VCU/UR game rank.

Joined by VCU Guard, Korey Billbury, we talk about his expectations when jumping from the Summit League with Oral Roberts University to the Atlantic 10 conference with VCU. Also, we learn how Billbury was a self-proclaimed “hater” during VCU’S Final Four run in 2011.

See why we call former VCU forward, Jamie Skeen, the funniest Ram to put on a uniform. We catch up with one of the stars of the Final Four 2011 team. He’s had many stops overseas playing basketball. Listen to see which place he said was the most memorable.

Intro (and closing) music: The Peppas (of course!). Check out their website now to purchase their CD, “Havoc Suite”.

I love VCU hoops. Also, a VCU grad. I get this is a podcast, but more of the transitions should be like the one between the Duquesne game and that of St. Bonnies. That was smooth and didn't make me think I was going to hear your recollection of the entire game. I hope we appreciate the work you guys are doing.

I am a former on/air guy. I produced and hosted several VCU basketball shows on WWBT-12 in the early 80s
