VCU welcomed Duquesne to the Stuart C. Siegel Center on Wednesday evening and looked to extend their win streak to 9. The Rams also hoped to start 6-0 in conference play for the second consecutive season. Coach Wade would see 5 of his players score in double digits to help secure the win, 93-71.
Junior Moe Alie-Cox and Junior Doug Brooks both led VCU in scoring with 16 points each. Sophomore Justin Tillman would be right behind with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
Senior Melvin Johnson would chip in 13 points while Junior JeQuan Lewis followed him up with 11 points and 8 assists on the evening.
This marked the 4th meeting between the two schools, VCU owning all 4 games against the Dukes.
VCU moves to 14-5 on the season and 6-0 in conference play. The Rams will host St. Bonaventure on Saturday at 2:30pm.
