News: VCU receives commitment from top 100 recruit, Lavar Batts

In what has already proven to be a strong off season for the Rams, it looks like their future just got even brighter.

The Rams have received a commitment from one of the top-100 talents from North Carolina. Lavar Batts is a 6’2 guard from Concord Robinson in Charlotte.

Batts is the No.1 recruit out of North Carolina and a top 100 in the nation.

Last season he averaged 20.7 points a game and is the career leading scoring from his school, currently with 1501 points.

VCU got the commitment from Batts after he had received offers and interest from Butler, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
