Rams go shopping + an NBA update

Two quick updates in the world of VCU, starting with a stateside professional update:

TROY DANIELS (NBA: MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES)

Daniels is having a career year with Memphis, averaging 9.4 points per game in his 20.8 minutes per contest this season. The former VCU sharpshooter saw a boost in minutes due to Memphis injuries this December and averaged over 15 points per contest in the nine games he logged 20 or more minutes.

TREVEON GRAHAM (NBA: CHARLOTTE HORNETS)

The Freight Train has barely seen action with the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, Daniels’ former team, but that paycheck still has to feel pretty good! Graham has seen the floor just once this month, a five-minute sample in a 20-point win over Orlando. He’s averaging 2.5 points per contest in 8.8 minutes over the six games he participated in this year.

BRIANTE WEBER (NBA D-LEAGUE: SOUIX FALLS SKYFORCE)

Weber has been bouncing back and forth between D-League and NBA in his brief pro career. It’s somewhat surprising he’s not playing with an NBA team after filling up stat sheets with Souix Falls and checking in as the No.1 player in the NBA D-League Prospect Watch. Weber is averaging 13.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 3.2 steals and has two triple-doubles in his 13 games this year.

SHOPPING WITH THE RAMS, 2016

VCU continued their annual tradition of helping some local families have a great Christmas with their Shopping with the Rams trip to Target. VCU Athletics was there documenting the event. Peep their video below.
