One sleepless night was all it took before VCU replaced their men’s basketball heading coaching position. As soon as word dropped that Will Wade was departing for LSU, Ram Nation, fans and former players, let it be known who they wanted to fill the vacancy.
“Bring Coach Rhoades Home” filled the twittersphere and Director of Athletics, Ed McGlaughlin, heard the cries. It didn’t take long before he was on a place to scoop up our guy, Mike Rhoades, who was currently serving as men’s basketball coach at Rice University. Sure enough, we got our guy!
