The Rams and Pirates will likely serve as the undercard to a matchup between likely preseason top-25 teams, Cincinnati and Florida. The games will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Seton Hall finished fifth in last season’s Big East, falling to eventual Big East tourney winner Villanova, 55-53 in the conference semifinals. They advanced to the NCAA tournament as a No.9 seed before falling in the first round to Arkansas.
This will be another huge RPI opportunity for the Rams in a schedule that already features the likes of Texas and UVA. Kevin Willard’s Pirates will likely start the year as a preseason top-25 team (or top-20) due to an experienced roster that loses just one key player and returns a talented, experienced roster.
