VCU signs Team Impact recruit Tyler Grazioso

VCU held a press conference on Tuesday to announce the signing of Team Impact recruit Tyler Grazioso, a 12 year old with cystic fibrosis. “Not everybody gets a fair deal in life, but it’s how you handle it, and this guy is a great example for our program to handle things the right way, with great courage, confidence, and a great loving spirit” said VCU head coach Mike Rhoades.

This year, VCU has partnered up with Team Impact, a non-profit which connects kids facing illnesses to college teams, to give them opportunities to build life-long bonds with impactful players and coaches. VCU fans may remember the signing of Morgan Vega in 2014, also a Team Impact recruit.

Tyler will be with the team in practices, as well as during games, though Rhoades warned him “no technicals on the bench, you can’t get any T’s, you can’t yell at the refs, that’s my job”.
