Video: VCU unable to outlast UVA, gets their first loss, 76 – 67 [INSIDER]

The Siegel Center filled up even earlier than normal in Friday’s 4pm tip off against University of Virginia. Ram Nation was hoping for another offensive battle but with UVA’s stingy, it would be tough, as the Rams would get their first loss, 76-67.

In the second installment of the home and home series, UVA came into Richmond ready to play. Senior Justin Tillman, coming off a 27 points night against North Florida on Monday, UVA Coach Tony Bennett knew to stop VCU, you have to stop Tillman.

The big guy was limited to just 4 points and went 2-9 from the field, 0-4 from behind the arc. Sophomore Issac Vann led all Rams in scoring with 19 points while senior Johnny Williams dropped 14 and Senior Khris Lane scored 12.

VCU moves to 2-1 on the season and will face Marquette on Monday, November 20th at 2:30pm in Maui.
