VCU head back to Brooklyn for 2018 Legends Classic

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU, St. John’s, Temple and California will headline the Championship Round of the 2018 Legends Classic at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Nov. 19-20. Opponents and game times will be announced at a later date.

The Rams, who are expected to return three starters from this year’s 18-15 squad, last appeared at the Legends Classic in 2014, when they defeated Oregon and dropped a contest to Villanova.

All four Championship Round games at Barclays Center will be televised on ESPN networks.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 30, at 10 a.m. (ET) for the Championship Rounds of the 12th annual Legends Classic men’s basketball tournament, and may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or through Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are also available at the American Express Box Office at Barclays Center starting Saturday, March 31, at noon.

VCU will also host a pair of Legends Classic regional games on campus prior to the championship round in Brooklyn. Possible opponents for those match-ups include Detroit, Bowling Green, Hampton and Loyola (Md.).
