VCU Head Coach Mike Rhoades will once again battle against Richmond Head Coach Chris Mooney, this time for charity. The 6th annual Coaches Cook-Off is a charity event which benefits Positive Vibe Cafe, a non-profit organization that trains and employs adults with disabilities. Mike Rhoades will team up with chef Michelle Williams of the Richmond Restaurant Group while Mooney will pair with Michael Hall of Spoonbread Bistro in the contest.
Mooney swept Rhoades this season as the Richmond Spiders went 2-0 in conference play against the Rams. Rhoades will certainly be looking for revenge, though we can’t vouch for his culinary skills.
The competition will take place at 6:00pm at the Dewey Gottwald Center at the Science Museum of Virginia. Tickets are $100 each or two for $150 and are available online at PositiveVibeCafe.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Contact Garth Larcen at 804-787-0783.
