Mike Rhoades and Co. got their first commitment of the 2019 class tonight after watching him go for 18 points live against high school power, Oak Hill. That player coming in the form of explosive 6’4 Wake Forest, NC native, Jarren McAllister.
Originally a 2018 commitment of Virginia Tech, McAllister decommitted from the Hokies and is spending a prep year at Massanutten Military Academy.
McAllister has been described as an explosive wing that’s nearly impossible to keep out of the land on offense and is a perfect piece to returning VCU toward their havoc roots.
Rhoades and two assistants got the good news after watching McAllister in person tonight, playing alongside current teammate and fellow VCU target, Dereon Seabron.
