Sean Mobley to transfer

VCU’s rising junior forward Sean Mobley has confirmed on Twitter that he will be transferring out of the program:

Mobley started in 22 games for the Rams this season, averaging 19.4 minutes per game. In that time, he averaged 4.1 ppg and 2.5 rpg. The 6’8, 240 lb forward from Cocoa Beach, FL was an impact player for VCU, and will certainly find significant playing time wherever he lands.

Sean was one of the first recruits of the 2017-2018 class who decided to stay with VCU despite the coaching transition when Will Wade left for LSU, coining the phrase “Ram Nation or No Nation” in his official announcement to stay.

Mobley has been a fan favorite at VCU for his efforts and commitment to the team.

Matt has been reporting on VCU sports for Ram Nation since 2007 with a focus on news, photos, and feature stories.

It's no wonder, Rhoades only plays his top players half a game regardless of what the score is.

I think maybe he is homesick for Florida and family. But Joey left because he was homesick for FL but he came back and the Final 4 happened.
